Live Event Branding and Harlequins, 2010
Specialist fabric branding company, Live Event Branding, produced a giant replica shirt for leading rugby union club, Harlequins.
The replica shirt was commissioned by the club in order to promote the launch of its new strip for the 2010/2011 season.
It measured 16 metres by 17 metres and was delivered in three weeks.
The shirt was printed onto Polyflagfr fabric using three metre wide Vulek Fabri-vu machines.
Harlequins Business Development Manager, Lorraine Rooney, said: “We wanted to create interest around the launch of the team’s Big Game 3 charity strip and part of this was the idea of a huge replica shirt for use in the ground.
“We were recommended to Live Event Branding for its high profile work and ability to deliver the unusual.
“The quality and speed of service was excellent and we all believe the shirt looks fantastic and can’t wait for our fans to see it.”
Live Event Branding director, Rory Blackwood, said: “We were thrilled to be awarded the project.
“It is great to see colour and fabric being used at more and more stadia and venues across the UK.
“It is a versatile medium which allows clients to highlight their brands and messages in a number of interesting ways.”
